Obituary of James Paul Corl

James Paul "Jim" Corl, 80, of State College, died Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Born November 1, 1941, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Paul Madison and Nina Marie Gingrick Corl. On March 23, 1973 he married Dail Phillips, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Kenneth J. Corl of Centre Hall and Ronald P. Corl and his wife Wendy of State College; one step-son, Kenneth R. "Rob" Williamson II of Pensacola, FL; and two grandchildren, Roman and Spencer Corl. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Corl, in January of 1983.

Jim graduated from State College Area High School in 1959. He earned an associate's degree from Williamsport Technical School in 1961. He was the owner of both Valley GMC Sales and Service, Inc. and Valley Truck & Trailer Sales & Service, Inc.

He was a member of Pine Hall Lutheran Church, Future Farmers of America, Nittany Antique Tractor Association, Clydesdale Breeders of the USA, Porsche Club of America, and National Rifle Association.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home with Pastor Susan Williamson officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
