I was sorry to hear about Mary’s passing. I took over her classroom when she retired in January, 1994. She was a wonderful lady and I was so honored to have known her and take over her classroom. I got the biggest chuckle when left with the task of cleaning out the classroom and seeing all the wonderful years of her work. She certainly didn’t throw away anything!! When Mary became a docent at Palmer I would request her when brining my class to visit. I would sit In awe of how she worked with my students and was able to explain the artwork so the students would understand. She was a fabulous educator and wonderful person. I feel so lucky to have known her.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. I have such fond memories of your mother as an important part of my childhood as I spent many fun-filled hours with my dear friend Julie at the Kibelbek home. Mary helped members of our Girl Scout Troop earn the Homemaking badge as we rotated to various homes in the neighborhood to learn various skills...she's the person who taught us how to make sharp corners with the bedsheets when making a bed (which was a very useful skill for me to have in the Marine Corps!). I never saw her without a smile, and she had a way of making you feel like the most important person in the room. Her pride her family was immense, and her joy and kindness were infectious. She was a loving person who will be sorely missed. Hers was such a wonderful life to honor and cherish! You're all in our thoughts and prayers.
