Dear Allan Family,
I’m saddened to hear of Shirley’s passing. Her passion and commitment to the figure skating community was second to none. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy in the Gold Medalist Award named in her honor. Many wonderful memories of her tenacity and hard work that she pour into the Penn State FSC and Nittany Valley FSC will not be forgotten. I’m thankful for her guidance in everything ISI and USFSA throughout the years. She will be forever our “door monitor” at our ice shows.
I hope that her soul is embraced by loved ones and that she is able to sew and watch tennis and figure skating to her heart’s content.
