My deepest sympathies to Maxine and family. What a wonderful man and family. I just heard yesterday about his passing. I was a bit emotional. Such a good man.
Craig and Maxine showed my wife and I the "fun" of camping on the beaches of the "Outer Banks" in the early 70s. My family have been going on vacations there ever since. What fun we had. And our connections through handball/racquetball and related tournaments are "legendary".
Rest in peace, my friend.....

So very sorry to learn of Craig's passing. He was a true advocate for students and a great mentor to members of the staff in Student Affairs. He will continue in the memories of those he influenced with his ebullient joy for life.

Our deepest sympathies to Maxine and family. I worked for over 30 years in strategic communications at Penn State. One of my project was to coordinate PR on the first expansion of the HUB Robeson Center. Craig did a masterful job of bringing together many students, faculty, advocates, administrators in student affairs, multicultural programs to gather feedback and review ideas from the architects. Then, managing the HUB services during the construction was a nightmare. It was challenging, frustrating. Craig always listened, gently directed the many players including contractors to keep the project on track. He was empathetic, compassionate, and a leader. The result was a resounding success, and laid the groundwork for the next expansion a decade later. Thank you, Craig.

A fine man and a good person has passed away. Some words need to be written even if not enough to do
him justice.
A PSU Handball player indeed. This is how I first met Craig. Penn State Handball Players were a very special group. So much at a young age I learned from them. Craig and his wife Max helped me to see how good man could be,when often the world events caused one to wonder.
I am a better person for having known Craig. Too soon, yes too soon we lose those that make the world a better place. I am a better person because of you.

Craig was difficult to stop but one noon in the faculty locker room I asked the name of the state bird of his home state, North Dakota. He named several birds, and I said no. He asked me to name it. It’s the housefly. Listeners erupted and he left quickly redfaced although he did laugh. A good man.
