Obituary of Jonelynn Griel Olson

Jonelynn Griel Olson, 77, of State College, died Monday, November 22, 2021, at home.

Born October 5, 1944, in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late John Brubaker and Kitty Audra Barger Griel. On November 21, 1964 she married George E. Olson, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Wendy Olson Walker of Medina, OH, and Kirsten Olson Leitzinger and her husband Robert "Butch" of State College; and four grandchildren, Eirik and Alexandra Olson, and Maezy and Henry Leitzinger. She was preceded in death by a son, Christian John Olson on November 21, 1999; a brother, Thomas Orin Griel in 2021; and a son-in-law, David Walker on November 24, 2009.

Jonelynn graduated from Oxon Hill High School, MD in 1962. She earned her associate's degree in history from Penn State University and worked for Penn State Federal Credit Union for over 25 years, retiring as the loan officer.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Friday, November 26, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral Service will be 11 am, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home with Deacon Jack Orlandi officiating.

Burial will be in Styers Cemetery, Clearfield.
