Obituary of Carolyn Lois Parise
Carolyn Lois Parise, 68, of Warriors Mark (formerly of Scranton), died Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at home with family, after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).
Born January 12, 1953, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Myles and Dolores Welker Rowan. On May 24, 1975 she married Vincent J. Parise, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, John Parise and his partner Kristy Boylan of San Francisco, CA, and Mia Parise and her partner Benjamin Jones of Warriors Mark; and one granddaughter, Meredith Parise-Swires.
Carolyn graduated from Central High School in Scranton in 1970. She worked for SWIF, State Workers Insurance Fund for over 20 years in numerous positions, her favorite and final position as an Information Technology Trainer. Generous, loving, and with a giving personality, she was always supportive in her children's activities. Carolyn was an animal lover, as was evident by her love for her rescue dog Lebowski. Her main joy, however, was taking care of her granddaughter, Meredith, the light of her life.
A very special "Thank You" to Dr. S. Mainali of Geisinger and the UPMC Family Hospice team for the excellent care and support provided to both Carolyn and her family.
Carolyn's family will honor her privately.
