Obituary of Natalie Little Urban

Natalie L. Urban passed away on December 21, 2021, at the Annapolitan Assisted Living Facility in Annapolis, Maryland. Born on June 13, 1932, in Woodsville, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of Agnes Hall and Robie Lee Little. After graduating from McIndoe Falls Academy in 1950, she earned a certificate in dental hygiene from the University of Vermont in 1952. She later completed her undergraduate degree in Individual and Family Studies at Penn State University.

On April 13, 1953, she married her beloved husband, Hugh B. Urban, who preceded her in death in 2001 after 48 years of marriage. Natalie and Hugh lived in State College for over 60 years where they were both active members of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church and had a wide network of friends and colleagues.

She is survived by five children – Curtis H. Urban, Pamela J. Holland, Marshall L. Urban, M. Janice Urban, and Hugh B. Urban, Jr. -- as well as by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren (with one on the way). In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers – Bonnie Little and Richard Little -- and two sisters – Pat McClure and Fran Kaminer.

Throughout her life, Natalie was a passionate and committed member of numerous charitable organizations. She was a long-time volunteer for Meals on Wheels in State College, a regular volunteer at Schlow Memorial Library, and a devoted member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church. An incredibly generous person with a wonderful sense of humor, Natalie loved to laugh over old stories, play music, and most of all spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

A celebration of Natalie's life will be held in State College during the warmer months of spring or summer.
