Obituary of Sheldon Albert Corl

Sheldon Albert "Dack" Corl died on December 23, 2021. Sheldon was born on December 26, 1929, the son of the late William Albert and Clara Trostle Corl. Sheldon saw a girl jumping rope during school. It was love at first sight. Sheldon married his love, Lois M. Sunday on September 11, 1948.

Sheldon is survived by his wife Lois, two children, David S. Corl and his partner Susie Ketner of Townsend, Tennessee and Cinda Corl and her husband Paul Johnson of Pine Grove Mills and one grandson David Andrew Corl of Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition, he is survived by sisters, Beverly Haines of Gainesville, Florida, Connie Levine of Bellefonte, Barbara Spindler of Tyrone and brother, Ted Corl of Pine Grove Mills. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William Corl and James Corl, and sisters Elizabeth Whitbred, Shirley Radar and Esther Luse.

Sheldon graduated from State College Area High School in 1948. He was a life- long dairy farmer in Centre County until his retirement in 1998. Sheldon belonged to Pennsylvania Holstein Association, Centre County Holstein Association, Centre County Ag Forum, Centre County Farm Bureau, past member of the Pine Grove Mills Lions Club, St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a leader in Centre County 4-H Dairy Club, Recreation Club, and Agriculture for several years. He also served on the Ferguson Township Water Authority and Centre County Conservation District for a number of years.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
