Obituary of Kelly M. Irvin
Kelly M. Irvin went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, Pennsylvania.
Kelly was born on March 28, 1954 in Wilmette, Illinois to Collette and Robert D. Irvin, who along with Kelly's brother Timothy Irvin, preceded him in death. Kelly is survived by his sisters Christine M. Irvin of State College, Patricia Irvin Slagle (Barry Slagle) of State College, Jeanne Irvin Cocolin (Ken Benner) of State College, Elizabeth Irvin Ross (Maury Ross) of Philadelphia, and many loving friends, nieces, and nephews.
The Irvin family moved from Illinois to State College in 1957. Kelly was a member of Our Lady of Victory Parish and a treasured volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a member of Strawberry Fields, the Arc Program, and the Opportunity Center Clubhouse. Kelly treasured the friendships he made with the dedicated and loving counselors of the Arc Program.
Kelly's legacy to his family is his example of a life well-lived. It was filled with kindness, and respect for others, humility, and an unshakable faith.
