Obituary of Patricia Ann Shade
Patricia Ann Shade, a resident of Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Centre Care Rehabilitation and Wellness Services in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
Born in Camden, New Jersey on March 14, 1952, Pat was the daughter of the late Rita and Marcie Tavares. On November 20, 1979, in State College, Pat married Charles Shade Sr., who preceded her in death on December 27, 2019. She was a loving wife to Charles throughout their 40 years of marriage together.
Pat graduated from Saint Maria Goretti High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and continued her education at Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. Pat chose to put her studies on hold so that she could mentor and nurture her sons Michael, Charles Jr., and the late Aaron. Pat was a licensed cosmetologist and earned her teaching certificate at Empire Beauty School. Pat worked as a cosmetologist at various beauty salons in State College. Pat earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Law from Pennsylvania State University in 2005.
Pat was an excellent singer and loved all genres of music. She loved to cook, and family and friends loved her cooking. She was a sweet person with a caring and loving personality.
Pat dedicated her life to Jehovah on December 5, 1986 and remained faithful to Jehovah until she fell asleep. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in State College.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by her son, Aaron and her brother, Gregory.
Pat is survived by two sons, Charles Shade, Jr. and Michael Chambers; her sister, Marsha Tavares Savage (Milton Savage, Jr.); sister-in-law, Bonny Tavares; nieces, Marlene Savage and Haley Tavares; four grandchildren, Davon, Donavon, Hayley and Sierra Shade; spiritual brothers and sisters, family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held via Zoom with Brother Jeff Kimble of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to www.jw.org.
