Ann was always there for me, the staff and students at State High. She had a smile and attitude that was always positive. We often talked about our support of animals and PAWS activities. One of my favorite people!

Not long ago I saw Ann at the pharmacy and we shared caring for elderly parents. I was not in a good frame of mind but she encouraged lovingly and my head was clear at least for that day. We promised to get together again to talk over a cup of coffee or lunch. It never happened because Covid hit and that was that. She was warm and loving and for the moment, gave me a reprieve....a sense of peace. RIP dear Ann and love to your family.

Thank you for sharing that, Linda. Mom was good with an encouraging word or well timed compliment to lift one's spirits. It means a lot to us to hear these stories. No matter if she lifted someone for a few minutes on a glum day or kept them going thru a hard time, this is exactly how she would want to be remembered. Knowing you, I can be sure that you passed that sense of peace along to someone else in the course of that day; and that is how we all keep going. With Love, Liz Barnes
