Obituary of Brandon Lee Koppenhaver, Jr.

Brandon Lee Koppenhaver, Jr., 16, of Port Matilda, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at home.

Born March 19, 2005, in York, he was the son of Brandon Lee and Nicholle Bennett Koppenhaver.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Wyatt and Zeke; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Jean Delp of York; his maternal great-grandparents, John and Patricia Eckenrode of York; his paternal grandmother, Sandra Szampruch of Columbia; his paternal grandfather Larry Koppenhaver and his wife Deb of Lewisberry; and his paternal great-grandmother, Jackie Szampruch of Columbia; as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Brandon was an 11th grader at State College Area High School where he was a culinary student. He was Star ranked in Boy Scout Troop 32 of State College. He enjoyed music, reading manga, hanging with his friends and just plain being on his phone. He was loving, caring, and always willing to help anyone in need. "David…Midget has come home."

Visitation will be 1-4 pm, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. The family requests that red clothing be worn in honor of Brandon.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will follow the visitation, from 4 until 6 p.m., on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the State College High School Cafeteria, 650 Westerly Parkway, State College, please use the rear entrance.
