Obituary of Bettie Ann Coyne

Bettie Ann Coyne, 88, of State College died on January 28, 2022. Bettie was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mary Helen Cherveniak, on May 11, 1933.

She is survived by Christopher, an employee of Penn State University, and Karin Wigley, a retired teacher in Bellevue, Washington. Bettie's grandsons, Nathanial and Alexander, also live in the Seattle area.

Her late husband Donald E. Coyne of State College, died in March 2010.

Bettie graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Reading, PA, and was a registered nurse until her retirement. She was an avid painter and gardener, and a wonderful cook.

Bettie, or Betty, or Betsy, is remembered for her compassionate spirit and loving heart. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone who met her.
