Obituary of Frank W. Van Horn

Frank W. Van Horn, 86, of State College, died Monday, February 7, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born June 6, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Franz P. and Maria (Sue) Piro Van Horn. On January 28, 1956 he married Gertrude Florence Heckle, who survives.

In addition to this wife, he is survived by two children, Debra Belies and her husband Steven of Plano, TX, and Gregory W. Van Horn of State College; four grandchildren, Christiane and Brian Belies, and Nataleigh and John Van Horn. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Van Horn.

Frank worked as the Eastern Regional Seaboard Manager for Sony Corp., various other positions, and finished his career with the Board of Cooperative Education Services distance learning division before his retirement in 2001.

He was a member of the State College Assembly of God, as well as the 700 Club and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022, from 2-4 pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 10 am at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Silliman officiating.

Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
