Dr. Dalbor taught me advanced Spanish courses at Penn State University back in the 1980's. After class was over on any given day, he would always go the extra mile in answering any question I had about the Spanish language. I came up with so many, and he cheerfully answered them all.
Dr. Dalbor would be happy to know that I have just completed writing my 20th English-Spanish dictionary. I believe this work to be the largest and most thorough English-Spanish dictionary ever to appear in history, and I will now certainly mention his name in the acknowledgements section. The last thing I did for this great man was to locate a certain dictionary that he wanted online, and to help him purchase it about two years ago. I was so happy to do that for him....
Vaya con Dios, my wise professor and friend.....

John was an amazing cousin. John kept in touch with us in his long letters and then long emails. He was my chief babysitter and a good friend to all of us. We'll miss him forever. The photo is John with me and the first cat they had named Smokie.
