Aunt Gladys, you were so special to your family. We all loved you. I remember waiting so excitedly during the summer, for the Harts to arrive at Grandma Peters house on vacation. Wow!! A station wagon full of Harts!! The best fun ever!! Aunt Gladys used to call Lois and me the giggle twins.
Aunt Gladys was a beautiful soul. She helped so many, never seeking recognition, never boastful.
I will miss her. I will miss her smile. I will miss her laugh. We were all truly blessed to have her in our lives.
And, now for you, dear lady, no more pain.
Love you, Cathy.

She took a few cups of Love
She took a tablespoon of Patience
One Tablespoon of Generosity
One Pint of Kindness
She Took one Quarter laughter
One pinch of Concern
And then Mixed
Willingness with Happiness
She Added lots of Faith
And She stirred it up well
Then She Spread it over
The span of a Lifetime
And served it to each and
Every Deserving Person She met

Thank you Gladys for your always renewed welcome. Even though I am a rather distant cousin in law, I have always felt at home in your house. You were and I will remember you as a ‘’grande dame.’’

Aunt Gladys will live on in the many hearts she touched. Whether it was on her porch or in the prison ministry, she treated all as special and unique and welcomed them with her amazing hospitality. The Le Garrec family will cherish the memories of Water balloon fights, porch sits, new year’s eve, and the games of spoons she allowed us to play on her dining room table that were banned from at my father’s house. Aunt Gladys loved a good time and having her family and friends close at hand. She will be watching over us and laughing with us when we start with our « antics ». Wishing my cousins and their families peace and healing in the times ahead. We are here for you all - Marguerite

My mother was truly someone who would do whatever she could to help those in need. Of course, she had her particular organizations that were close to her heart. ACLD, St Vincent de Paul Society, PA Prison Society, Prison ministries, OLV funeral ministries, and avid financial supporters of many more. She spent countless hours with these organizations, but never so much that I thought it was a distraction to the family. She always seemed to have that great family life balance.
