Obituary of Clifford "Cliff" Michel
Clifford "Cliff" A. Michel, 48, of Stormstown, died Friday, February 3, 2012. Born October 19, 1963, in Chalfont, he was a son of Marian Smith Michel of Chalfont and the late William H. Michel, Jr. He married Terree Sowash on November 4, 2006 who survives.
He is survived by three children, Andrew R. Knapik and his wife, Adrian, of Silver Spring, MD., Adam J. Knapik of Austin, TX, and Alexis T. Knapik of State College. Two brothers, Robert Michel and his wife, Bonnie, of Mohnton, Rusty W. Michel and his wife, Joann, of El Cajon, CA, and a sister, Joyce E. Shappell and her husband, Richard, of Drexel Hill, special nieces, Hope, Hannah and Marie, and loving pets Missy, Pumpkin and Baby.
Michel was a graduate of Central Bucks High School West, Doylestown, class of 1982.
He was a 1992 graduate of Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, CT, with an Associate of Science in Business Administration with Honors, a 1996 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Management. He was a Dean's List student throughout his college career.
He attended the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
He was both a camper and a camp counselor at Bear Creek Camp in the summers. Cliff enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He was known as "Mr. Gadget" and was always ready to help anyone. Cliff was an Emergency Medical Technician, Volunteer, Alpha Community Ambulance Service now Centre Life Link. He was also a member of the Chalfont Fire Company in Chalfont and State College VFW.
Michel was employed as a sales associate for Rolling Frito-Lay Sales, LP, he was also a sales associate for Kohl's and an usher at the Bryce Jordan Center and a game day employee for the Spike's Baseball Team.
He served in the United State Navy as a Submarine Sonar Technician, Police Officer, Dispatcher, and Leading Petty Officer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 867 Grayswood Boulevard, Port Matilda.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, officiated by Reverend Charles Amershek, Jr. Burial will follow at the Gray's Cemetery, Stormstown.
