Dear Wiliams family:
So sorry for your loss. It was an honor to have served with Ken at the 112th. As the 112th's Chief of Maintenance, coordination of the equipment usage with the Director of Operations was critical in our ability as a radar unit to execute our mission. He was the very first of three Director of Operations I had the opportunity to work with during my tenure and was the best DO. A great role model! I also remember his passion for his red Corvette. A great Colonel with numerous distinctive accomplishments in his service to this great country! He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Ricky L. Miller, Colonel, PAANG (PA Retired)

Kathy and Colleen,
Words can't say how sorry I am to hear about Ken's passing. He was my best friend at the University. I will always remember the 18 years we spent together in the Risk Management Office. He was the one who talked me into transferring to it after I had moved from Old Main to the Shields building. He taught me all about insurance and helped me rise to the professional level that I achieved. He was the rock that kept the Risk Management office functioning at a high level for many years through often trying times. I was always amazed of how he personally developed the unbelievably complex and complete insurance program that covered everything Penn State was and did. We ended up retiring 3 months apart but would meet for lunch on a regular basis until his illness started. I still remember him talking about his deployments to the islands. I really missed not seeing him in recent years.

So very sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. He and I shared a passion for fancy cars. He entrusted me with two of his beautiful and rare Mercedes sports cars, a CLK 430 coupe and a 500 SL hardtop/convertible show cars. These cars have won first place in dozens of car shows over the last 5 years and I’ve tried to keep Ken updated on how well his cars have done in these shows. Rest In Peace Ken, we’ll discuss your cars in our next chapter. Condolences to Colleen, Kathleen, the sisters and those who knew and loved this gentle man. Charlie
