Obituary of Mary "Annette" Martin

Mary "Annette" Martin (nee Magnuson), 79, of State College, PA, died September 29, 2022, at her home.

Born March 16, 1943 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of Helena (Hugney) and Arthur Magnuson. She married Alfred R. Martin, who preceded her in death, on September 19 1969, in State College, PA. She is survived by her daughter, Madeline M. Martin of State College, PA and her siblings, Dr. Donna Tubbs of Curwensville, PA, Patricia Haversack of Hyde, PA, Helena Karistinos of Danbury, CT, Madeline J. Magnuson of Julian, PA, George Magnuson of Clearfield, PA, and Herchel Magnuson of Clearfield, PA. Annette is also survived by her sisters-in-law Myrna Magnuson, Joann Magnuson, Shirley Magnuson, Karen Magnuson and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Filmore Magnuson, of Curwensville, PA, William Magnuson, of Clearfield, PA and sister, Doris Geppert of Ellicott City, MD.

Annette was a graduate of Clearfield High School, class of 1961. She attended Penn State University and retired from the Animal Diagnostics Lab at University Park, PA in 2010 after 24 years of service.

Annette was an avid patch work quilter and loved collecting patterns and fabrics.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, with the Deacon Ted Christopher officiating.

Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park Cemetery.
