Dear Dick,
I am so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. The two of you were pillars of the Boal Bard community and dearly loved by my mother, Peg French. My memories of cast parties are filled with the sound of her laughter brought about by Richard.
May your cherished memories comfort you and bring you peace.
With sympathy,
Jane French Brubaker

I am so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. I have so many great memories of welcoming Richard G. along with Richard W. of course, to Center for the Performing Arts performances and events. Over the years we shared many great performances together along with countless opportunities to gather before and afterwards to share in our love of the arts, which creates a special bond. Richard was a dedicated and passionate supporter of the Center and the arts in State College. The community is richer because of his support and involvement in many arts activities and organizations. He lived a long and full life, and I feel privileged to have connected with Richard during my time at Penn State. George Trudeau, retired director, Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State.

Dear Dick,
Uncle Richard was a wonderful man - a true gentleman with a kind and intelligent wit who made this world a better place. You both helped Ally through a very tough year and I am forever grateful. Uncle Richard had a special connection with all children but especially the young. I will always remember the many “Christmas and birthday” books and the special visits he made. Richard lived a long enriched life he will be greatly missed. A very big hug to you. Fran

Richard will always have a special place in my heart. A true supporter of everyone he met, he was gracious and kind with a rapier wit. It was always a pleasure to serve with him on the SCCT Board, to be on stage with him, or to be in the audience when he performed. He enriched the theatrical experience of those around him and his reach was felt far and wide with all of the people he met at the Boal Barn playhouse over the years, in classrooms, and in the community. A light has gone out, but I'll never forget him. Sending love to Dick, of course, and the many people who feel this loss. With sympathy, Elaine Meder-Wilgus

I will always remember working with Richard at the Boal Barn Playhouse. Watching Richard perform was always a treat. When serving on the Board with him, His commentary on play selections were valuable.
My heart goes out to Dick.
All my Love, Susan Dean

Oh, Dick, I'm so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your family. You and he are so much a part of my early theater days with SCCT and the barn. Richard's support and kindness to me as a fledgling stage manager for "Witness for the Prosecution" was everything to me. Sending you peace and comfort in your loss and may his memory be a blessing. ❤ Rest in Peace, Richard.❤
