I was stunned and saddened to hear of Rob's passing. I recall well his leadership in various roles, generous sharing of information about paths to success, and his lovely spirit—my condolences to his family and all mourning this untimely loss.

In 2013 I stepped into a position at Penn State that Rob had held previously. Not long after he initiated getting together for coffee and offered to help in any way possible. Over the next few years, Rob was a voice of encouragement and perspective only he could provide. I am grateful. My sincere condolences to the family for the loss and sadness at this time. - Don Lenze

Like Tilghman, I met Rob through working at Telefund. Rob went from being a great boss to being a life long great friend. Hosting big food events, always going out of his way for others..that laugh…his incredible infectious laugh and zest for life. Rob will forever be one of the greatest. So sorry for Leah, Cam and Adam and all of the extended family. Rest in peace now my friend.

I've known Rob since we were both wee babies. We weren't always close, but as time went on he became very dear to me. You will be missed, dear friend. Rest easy now.

I grew up with Rob. I have a clear memory of singing along to “King of the Road” in Mrs. Hench’s 2nd grade class at recess. Later as adults we enjoyed watching our kids playing soccer and catching up with each other. His laughter was incredibly infectious! My condolences to his wonderful family.

I knew Rob from the time he was about 8 years old. He always had an intense energy for life with an underlying sensitivity. He helped me navigate in a snowstorm, was an acolyte in my wedding, we sang songs and played games when he was younger, and for many years, shared his amazing Christmas desserts. In more recent years, he had a restlessness that he couldn’t seem to satisfy. I hope you have found peace Rob. Love you.

Without Rob, I am not sure where I would be -- first, telefund then Gettysburg College and beyond. My heart breaks for his family - Kathy, Kim, Mark and the extended Mothersbaugh Family - know you are in my prayers. Leah, Cameron and Adam -- I know this is little comfort at the moment, but please know how much your father loved you and was so proud of you. Yesterday, I heard a James Taylor song that reminded me of when Rob and I would go to Spats on College Ave for wings and listen to Chris Minzer.
My dear friend -- I hope you find peace.
