Obituary of Brenda Alexander
Brenda K. Alexander went home to be with Jesus on February 18, 2012 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was a member of the Tabernacle Church of God In Christ, Mt. Union. Brenda was employed at the Ramada Inn and the Fullington Limousine Company. Brenda also worked for the Koch Funeral Home. She graduated from the State College Area High School and attended Penn State University. Brenda was an avid volunteer for various organizations including Taste of the Town, Second Mile and The Aids Project.
She is survived by her mother, Kathryn, two sisters, Mary Alexander, of State College, Patricia Kirby, of Erial, NJ and her husband, Minister Harry Kirby, one brother, William, of Altoona, three nephews, Gregory Rogers, Jr., Marvin Rogers and Michael Krawec. She was a great aunt to Andre Rogers, Hailey Rogers, Amya Kopp, Avery Rogers, Aubrey Roger, Najae Rogers and DaeVonn Rogers. She was preceded in death by her father, Caesar Alexander.
Friends may be received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St, State College, PA. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the funeral home with Bishop Benjamin J. Ravenel officiating.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at the Pine Hall Cemetery.
