Obituary of Mary McClure

Mary Tussey McClure, 83, of Pine Grove Mills, died February 22, 2012 at her residence. Born August 15, 1928 in Ferguson Township, she was the daughter of Melvin and Edna Ellenberger. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Tussey and Richard McClure. Mary was a graduate of State College Area High School and a lifelong resident of Pine Grove Mills. In addition to raising her family, Mary was also a school bus driver for many years for the State College Area School District. She also served as Treasurer for the Ladies' Auxiliary for VFW Post 5825 in Pine Grove Mills. Mary was a great lover of sports and loved to cheer on her favorite teams both in person and from home. Mary's greatest joy was her family and she is survived by her four sons, William Tussey and his wife, Margaret; Robert Tussey and his wife Shirley; Brian Tussey and his wife, Carol, and Michael Tussey, and his wife Penny; her six grandchildren, Sara Tussey; Alena Tussey Sunderland and her husband, Justin; Clayton Tussey and his wife, Natalie; Carla Tussey; Christa Tussey; and Adam Tussey; and by her four great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Lucas, Dean, and Sam. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Roy Ellenberger, of Pine Grove Mills and Ruth Hartman, of Boalsburg. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Carl D. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Mills Cemetery.
