Uncle John, as he was known to us, was a warm, welcoming and genuine person. Although the times we spent with him were fleeting, he was always generous and entertaining company, having that unusual knack of making those around him feel special. As a child, I (David) spent several summers in Tunkhannock where John would integrate me into his family unit like a third kid and take me to Lake Carey to swim and fish, play tennis or cruise around in the electric golf cart. These are vivid memories from my younger years.
The pictures we’re posting here are from our (David and Michele’s) wedding and they show:
• John in the conga line between his daughters Jill and Elizabeth.
• With Jane, Elizabeth and Jill outside the marquee.
• Arms around his sisters, Joan and Jennifer.
This is how we will remember him: happy and enjoying life.
