Obituary of Bridget Amanda Esposito

Bridget succumbed to multiple organ failure at Einstein Medical in Philadelphia surrounded by her sister Emily and mother Jackie. She is fondly remembered as a laughing, passionate, and joyous person who will be fervently missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Bridget was vivacious and stubborn, exuberant and headstrong, gregarious and determined. Born in State College, Bridget attended State High and was active in Thespians as a costumer and in numerous social justice, anti-drug organizations. She studied psychology and philosophy at Penn State and was a dedicated vegetarian. She adored Renaissance Faires, Celtic music, The Lord of the Rings, The Princess Bride, Psych and fantasy fiction. An ardent cook, she loved trying new recipes and collecting vintage cookbooks. Bridget was an award-winning holiday home decorating fanatic and a lifelong volunteer for AAUW's Used Book Sale (both behind the scenes and at the event). She also worked annually at the Central Pennsylvania Arts Fest Information Booth. She loved all kinds of animals, especially her own rescued cats and dogs. At the age of 6 after seeing Jane Goodall at Penn State, she was "flying to Africa" to help. She was always offering to help and to improve where she was able. Bridget cared deeply and stood steadfast for what she believed. Her tenacity and irresistible laugh will be cherished forever.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd, 867 Grays Woods Blvd, Port Matilda on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 11am.
