Obituary of Charles Hubler
Charles "Charlie" R. Hubler, 76, of State College, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born July 30, 1935, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Montgomery (Monty) and Margaret Irvin Hubler.
Charlie grew up on the farm that is now Harris Acres - hence Hubler Road. In 1950 he moved into Boalsburg.
Charlie attended school in Boalsburg, was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, and was a long-time member of Boalsburg Fire Co. Charlie had a lawn mowing business for many years. Many people will remember seeing him around town on his white golf cart.
The past 5-1/2 years Charlie resided at Hearthside Nursing Home where he was very popular and very lovingly cared for.
Charlie is survived by: cousin-Gloria (Joe) Humphreys, Oak Hall and their daughters Dolores Barnes and Hanna Humphreys; cousins - Linda O'Neill, State College and Richard Irvin, Zion.
A memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012, with visitation from 12 - 1; service 1:00 p.m., at Boalsburg United Church of Christ
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boalsburg Fire Co. Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 540, Boalsburg, PA 16827.
