Memorial Visitation at Funeral Home

Frederick was my brother-in-law who lived across the country and I didn't see him very often. Despite that, he made a huge impression in my life because I'd never gotten to know anyone quite like him.
- He teased me (us) from our Washington State family because he said we pronounced "downtown" like "dowwn towwn".
- He knew a little something about everything.
- He was the quintessential Renaissance man, with talents, skills and interests in so many areas.
- He loved my sister very much. I remember the first time I met him and he said to me, "Look at her. She has an angel's face."
- He let me help with the editing of his and Cindy's book to create a more conversational tone. We laughed a lot in that process, and he may have cursed me when we were off the phone. :)
- He and Cindy came to my house one Christmas and he took up my kids' keyboard and entertained us with stories and songs.
I will miss him and I regret I didn't have more time spent with him. I know he's smiling, though. He was so full of life and I'm sure that hasn't ended.
Frederick was a loyal friend and a talented bandmate. My condolences to Cindy and to the extended family. John McDermott
