Dear Family and Friends of Paul, Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. I was very sad to hear that Dr. Dimick had past away. I new Dr. Dimick as a graduate student in the late 70s where I took his Food Chemistry course and later served as his TA in the same course at Penn State for several years (which I now teach at K-State). He was on my PhD committee and grilled me well on the chemical reactions of non-enzymatic browning (Maillard). Surprisingly these reaction remain very important and my lab still performs research in this area today. He was later very helpful when I joined the Food Science faculty at Penn State in spring of 1981. He provided considerable guidance as I transitioned to the faculty role and was very supportive. I enjoyed my interactions and Dr. Dimick he was a fun to be around. He was friendly, and very quick-witted which made it a pleasant experience. Again my condolences. J.
