Obituary of Debbie Lynn Gauthier
Debbie Lynn Gauthier, 68, of State College, died Sunday, June 4, 2023, at home.
Born December 13, 1954, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Ethel Mae Barto Gauthier.
She is survived by a sister, Wanda Givler of Belleville; nieces and nephews Crystal Ramsay of Boalsburg, Tamara Tressler Blewitt of Muncy, Todd Givler of Hot Springs, SD, and Kelly Little of Williamsport, PA; and great nephews and nieces: Joseph and Noah Ramsay, Joelle Blewitt, and Zoe and Emmett Givler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie G. Tressler and Jody L. Quinill.
She was a 1972 graduate of State College Area High School. She studied Law Enforcement and Corrections at Penn State and graduated from the Airline Training Program at Wilma Boyd Career School in Pittsburgh.
Debbie retired as a flight attendant after seven years of service at Air Wisconsin and 23 years of service at American Airlines. In retirement, she enjoyed camping, reading, spending time with friends and family, doting on her feline companions Missy and then Beau, and working part time at a local testing center.
One of her favorite things was reading detective thrillers in her lounge chair around an all-day campfire.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Pine Grove Mills Presbyterian Church, 150 W. Pine Grove Rd., Pine Grove Mills, with the Reverend Carl Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Mills Cemetery.
