Dad was a family man. I have fond memories of all the family trips we took together. Dad was always involved with our school, sporting events, graduations, weddings. He took us swimming, golfing, fishing, ice skating, snow skiing, sled riding, boating, hiking, and many other activities during our childhood. I remember him most for his kindness, love of his family and his great sense of humor. I remember he took me fishing when I was a little girl. He told me a saying familiar to many. He would say when the wind is from the East, the fish bite the least. When the wind is from the South you would pull the hook out of its mouth. But when the wind is from the West, the fish bite the Best. I remember asking him what happens when the wind is from the North. After only a few seconds he said, when the wind is from the North it’s too cold to go fishing! I will miss you very much Dad, but I am thankful for everything you taught me and the wonderful memories! You are in a much better place with your family, friends and loved ones.
