Obituary of Merilee Ann Peery
Merilee Ann Peery, 63, of State College, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at The Oaks at Pleasant Gap.
Born April 3, 1960, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas D. and Esther M. Larson. She married Craig Benton Peery on April 27, 1991, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Catherine R. Bisbee and her husband, Ken, of Ohiopyle, PA and Suzanne Fetter and her husband, Steve, of Hollis, NH; five nieces and five nephews.
Merilee was a graduate of State College Area High School. Following graduation she worked at Penn State University in a clerical position, as well as several other jobs over her lifetime. She loved doing jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles as well as spending time with family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was a member of both the choir and handbell choirs.
Visitation will be held from 2:30-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Garner St., State College. A Memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Scott E. Schul officiating.
Burial will be in the Grace Lutheran Church Columbarium.
