Fond memories of talking with Chuck about life every morning at 5 a.m., when my shift started, in the lobby of the Sun Valley Lodge, where he was for years a reliable presence. He would inquire about my ambitions, my interests, my family—how rare these days, to be genuinely interested in other people. Kind, gracious, generous with his time. Thank you, Chuck. Rest in peace.

Chuck was one of the sweetest men I have ever met. He loved animals, particularly his cat Max, and people very much. I was blessed to know him even if it was toward the end of his life. My condolences to Kathy and Susie for the loss of their father. I wish I had seen him one last time. He is at peace now.
