Obituary of Renee L. Poorman

Renee L. Poorman, 69, of Pine Grove Mills, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at home.

Born January 27, 1954 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Allen "Pepsi" and Sally Harmick Larson. On August 24, 1975, she married Robert Steven Poorman who preceded her in death on April 17, 1999.

She is survived by two children, Steve E. Poorman of State College and Jessica M. Griffin and her husband, Clancy, of Port Matilda; four grandchildren, Cody Griffin, Jordyn Griffin, Jocelyn Poorman and Hayden Poorman of State College and her siblings, Rick Larson of Lebanon and Scott Larson of Milesburg.

Renee was a 1972 graduate of State College Area High School. She earned an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Harcum College, Bryn Mawr. She retired from Vigilant Security as a Central Station Dispatcher after 25 years of service.

She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Koch Funeral Home with Pastor Derrick Suttles officiating. Interment will follow the service at Centre County Memorial Park.
