Obituary of Doris Singer

Doris "Chickie" Singer, 97, of State College, PA passed away on September 3, 2023. She was born on July 11, 1926, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Louis and Rose Mazer. Chickie, as she was affectionately known, was a remarkable woman who faced and overcame challenges with determination and without complaint.

In her younger years, Chickie was known for her glamorous style and love for fashion. She traveled the world with family, creating lifelong friendships along the way. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Chickie is survived by her son, Richard A. Singer, daughter-in-law, Jeane V. Singer and her grandson, Scott A. Singer, her daughter, Judy L. Singer, son-in-law, Robert H. Ainslie and her grandson, Robert L. Ainslie.

She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Harold Singer, her brothers, Robert and David Mazer, and her parents, Louis and Rose Mazer.

Chickie attended Northern High School in Baltimore, MD, where she received her education. Throughout her life, she excelled in her roles as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving a lasting impact on her loved ones.

A private burial service was held for Chickie. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to Centre County PAWS Animal Adoptions and Shelter at centrecountypaws.org.

Chickie's legacy will live on through the memories shared by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, grace, and unwavering love for those around her.
