Obituary of Ronald E. Dills

Ronald E. Dills, 86, of Millheim, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at home. Born January 31, 1937, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Leslie and Mary Edna Wilfong Dills. On December 28, 1958 in Houserville he married Joan Horner, who preceded him in death in 2015. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Lloyd Dills, Elma Dills, and Daphne Hoffman all from State College. He is survived by a son, George E. Dills and his wife, April M, of Spring Mills; and two grandchildren, Sarah Mae Dills and George Ronald Dills. Ronald was a graduate of the class of 1954 from State College High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Penn State University. Following graduation, he worked in the accounting department for 32 years at Kodak in Rochester, NY. He returned to Centre County in 1998 to help his son farm. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 and was discharged in 1958. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading books on World War II history and spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of the Victor Grange #159. He was kind to anyone he met and quick to joke with anyone who knew him. Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Centre Memorial Park.
