My heartfelt condolences to brother Don's family. Don was a dear brother in Christ to me. I visited him a few times in State College while going to school in Pittsburgh, I'd also see him on Zoom week by week during Tuesday night prayer meetings and Lord's day meetings. Whenever I'd see him, in sickness and in health, he was always full of life and the joy of the Holy Spirit. Don was always faithfully serving the church, especially the young students at Penn State, whom he shepherded and cared for with love by inviting them over to his home. I am praying that the Lord would comfort the hearts of his family. Praise the Lord for such a pattern of a faithful servant of Christ, who loved and served those around him!
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live; and everyone who lives and believes into Me shall by no means die forever. Do you believe this?'" John 11:25-26
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
My beloved brother, my childhood "best buddy," my partner in “crime” Mom would say, my faithful playmate, my Irish twin, my dear, dear friend who always and forever faithfully loved and supported me through thick and thin, and my best prayer warrior, graduated to Glory last night. Though I am going to miss him dreadfully, I would never wish him back now for He is with the Lord He loved so dearly and served so faithfully and with his beloved wife, Shirley. He is also free now of all the pain and suffering he has endured these past few years. I love you, Don! I will see you in Glory and spend eternity with you nevermore to part! See you at the House, Don, one very, very sweet reunion day!
