Obituary of Mary Virginia Untrauer

Mary Virginia Untrauer, 90, of Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Garvey Manor.

Born September 16, 1933, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Elizabeth Sutton Tomlinson. On August 30, 1957 she married Matthew William Lengyel, who preceded her in death in 1981. On May 20, 1989 she married Raymond Ernest Untrauer, who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Christine McCullough and her husband, Gregory, of Altoona, Matthew Lengyel and his wife, Jeanne, of Bellefonte, Mark Lengyel of State College, Scott Lengyel and his wife, Jennifer, of Canandaigua, NY; a daughter in-law, Linda Lengyel of Denver, CO; a sister, and ten grandchildren. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by nine siblings, Rita Beck, Flo Hoyer, Pinky Faust, Betty Bonsell, Bob Tomlinson, Don Tomlinson, Jean Dixon, Jim Tomlinson, Bill Tomlinson and two sons, Michael and Jeffrey Lengyel.

She was a 1951 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She retired at the age of 60 after 15 years as the Mark Up Manager for Jostens.

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She volunteered at Mount Nittany Medical Center, St. Vincent de Paul and as a prison minister at Rockview.

Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m., on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College.

Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, with Father George Jakopac officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
