I played a lot of softball, volleyball and basketball with Terry in Fulton, NY. He always reminded me when running to first base, "it's OK to carry a piano on your back, but you don't need to stop halfway and play a tune!" I'll miss his humor and friendship.

It was truly an honor knowing you Terry. Even though separated by 17 years, you were like another brother to me.
It was a pleasure conducting you at Alumni Blue Band gigs and a true blessing to sing right next to you at Nittany Knight rehearsals and concerts.
You will be deeply missed….

I will always cherish the times and memories we spent together. How awesome for me to be invited to go on a skiing trip to Killington with your sister and her boyfriend. Talk about being the third wheel. And discovering what "Micky D's" was. Margaret didn't know either. What an awesome guy to include me on that trip. Not sure if Margaret ever went skiing again after that but I'll never forget the kindness to include me. Alec and I were talking and remembering the Penn State/ Michigan game we went to with Terry. Ryan met us at the stadium too and I believe we were in the student section. Not sure if we ever sat down through the game but I didn't realize stadiums bounced like that from the jumping fans. What an incredible memory for the both of us. The trip there was quite memorable too. Alec had a weak stomach through the windy roads of Pennsylvania and shared his breakfast out the window with fans in the parking lot. We owed Terry a car wash afterwards.
I never shared this story with Margaret but when they came to Montana one summer we went to a friend's house in Kalispell to stay. The rain was coming down and we pulled the cars into the garage. I was driving my old Chevelle and they had a rental. When it was time to get the luggage out I was on the driver's side of my car and Terry opened the door on his car and needless to say I heard an impact you never want to hear on your old car. I took a deep breath and didn't say a word but to Terese. That little hail size dent never got fixed nor will it ever. It hurt, but the dent has a meaning almost a gift to us now.
Growing up I looked forward to seeing Margaret and Terry. When the trivia pursuit game out to play after dinner I always tried to be on their team. I didn't have to put in much of an effort and we seemed to win. The unending card games and the joy of the bickering over the rules. Margaret always got her way. JK
Terry was an incredible person. Loving caring family man and an incredible brother in law. He loved my sister and raised two outstanding sons that would make any father proud. My heart goes out to them for their loss.
The people Terry touched have a hole that can never be filled. His smile, kindness and willing to help out at any notice will never be matched. He will be greatly missed and I am proud to have been able to have known Terry for so long. He also taught me when scallops are cooked through. How weird is that. Just another memory that will never be forgotten. We will miss the "happy hour" times when we got together at the micro breweries but we will always say cheers to you Terry for being part of our lives. You will be greatly missed.
