Obituary of Stuart J. Silver

Stuart J. Silver, 93, of State College, died on Sunday, December 24, at his home in State College, PA.

Born March 10, 1930, in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Bernice "Ben" and Frances Goldner Silver. On July 25,1993 he married Judith Wessner Sittler, who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Mark L. Silver of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Teri Silver-Owen on March 1, 2017 and a sister, Constance R. "Connie" Silver on October 5, 2022.

Stuart was a 1948 graduate of Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, CA. In 1959 he received a bachelor's degree from the Oregon State College, Corvallis, OR, in English. He later earned a master's degree from the Oregon State College in Fisheries Research.

He served in the United States Marine Corp.

Stuart retired as a School Administrator, serving as the Assistant Principal of Beverly Hills High School, Beverly Hills, CA.

Funeral service and burial will be at Mt. Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries, 5950 Forrest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA.
