Just as listener of America in the Morning- wondered where Carl was and looked it up on yahoo to sadly learn he passed away. When he said his own name, I always thought he was saying Carol until I heard John Trout say Carl- lol I really enjoyed hearing him and send my best to ALL of his friends, family and co-workers.

So sorry to hear of Carls passing, a nicer, better natured fellow you couldn't hope to meet. As teammates we shared many a laugh on the Kearny Crew trips and race days, he was truly liked by all, I can still picture him laughing at the antics of some of our nuttier teammates with a look on his face saying "What did I get myself involved with??" My deepest condolences to all his family friends and loved ones.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Babinski's passing. I pray God gives his family the strength to carry on without him. For years I listened to his weather forecasts on WWJ radio in Detroit. His voice was always soothing after a hectic day. I'd like his family to know he touched many people's lives. I feel like I lost a friend. He will be missed.

I never met Carl in person but he helped me many times. I work for WBBM Radio in Chicago and he was a tremendous asset to our station and was always fun, smart, enthusiastic, and darn good at his job. His voice provided information and comfort to many, many people.

I only know Carl from his meteorology reports on 1010WINS. His delivery was so personable and relatable that he made me feel like I knew him and wanted to hang out with him and be his friend.
