Betty was my longtime friend, someone I treasured for her intelligence, her creativity, her caring for others, her adaptability to life’s vicissitudes and mostly for her sense of fun. She lived her life as fully as she could.
Betty did so much for so many people. As a psychologist she spent extra time driving to the VA medical center in Altoona to help veterans with their problems. There were always ways to help others and Betty found them.
When she had a little personal time Betty crafted pots, painted and created all manner of works and her art was good. I especially enjoyed her portraits.
My husband, Bill and I send our love and sympathy to her children and to her grandson, Drew.
I remember how happy Betty was when he was born and how sad she was being able to only visit with him occasionally. Drew, your grandmother Betty was a superb citizen of this world!
