Obituary of Charles Pelton
Charles Pelton, 92, of Tyrone, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born December 27, 1931, in Winburne, he was the son of the late Miles and Ethel (Hoover) Pelton Sr. He was united in marriage to Mary Blasko on August 15, 1953, in Osceola Mills. Mary preceded him in death on December 3, 2016.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynda Sue Tasselli (Jay McLaughlin) of Stoneboro, PA; two grandchildren, David Tasselli and BobbieSue of Pendleton, IN and Tracey Lynn Tasselli-Boyes and her husband, Nathan, of Vancouver, WA; two great-grandchildren, Zayne and Ace Boyes; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Figart; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Charles was a graduate of Cooper Township High School.
He was employed as an engineer with Chemcut Corporation in State College.
Charles was a member of the American Legion Post 245, State College.
He enjoyed travel, camping, fishing, golf, Penn State football, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates. He loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Tyrone Pike, Philipsburg, PA.
