Obituary of Michele Gianopoulos

Our beloved sister, Michele, passed away after a short but difficult illness. She was surrounded by LOVE and her dearest identical twin sister, Melanie, by her side. Melanie was her "forever" friend.

Michele graduated from Philipsburg Osceola HS in 1976 and then attended Green Mountain College in Vermont. She had a wonderful career at Penn State University, retiring with over 35 years of service at the Office of the Bursar.

Michele was a very generous person who always remembered the many family holidays, birthdays, and other celebrations of our very large family. She made the best Greek food and honey cookies. She loved the color purple, butterflies, seashells, camping, gardening, crocheting, reading, Penn State sports, cats and children.

Michele was a magnificent Aunt to Patrick Osewalt, Lara Dupree, Alexis Gianopoulos, Nikki Evans and Tiana Gianopoulos. Michele loved her many grand nieces and grand nephews.

Michele was looking forward to embracing her dear sister Teri, her Mom & Dad, Yia Yia, sister-in-law Jill, and her many cats. She will forever watch over all those that she loved and will now be our angel in heaven.

Michele is survived by her brother Patrick Gianopoulos II of Tyrone, PA, Dani Osewalt of Tulum, Mexico & Cary, North Carolina, and Melanie Gianopoulos of State College, PA and her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
