Obituary of Nancy Lee Rush
Nancy Lee Rush, 76, of Huntingdon, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born November 9, 1947, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Mary Eschenbach Rudolph. In 1999, she married Jesse Rush, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Stephanie Corl of Lewisburg and Gretchen Croteau and her wife, Brianne, of Lewisburg; a step-son, David Rush and his wife, Allison, of Chambersburg; a step-daughter in-law, Karen Rush of Huntingdon; seven grandchildren, Oliver and Samantha Croteau, Kailin, Payton, Mackenzee, Gates, and Brindle Rush.
She was a 1965 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School.
Prior to retirement she was employed as a teacher at The Learning Station where she was head of the infant room and surrogate family to countless children. She was born to take care of children and loved every minute she spent with them.
She loved to travel, with Hawaii and San Francisco being two of her favorite places. Chocolate, coffee, a nice drink, old country music and laughing with her grandchildren gave her joy.
Nancy was a faithful member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Stone Valley, and drew strength and community from her church family.
She's enjoying her mother's coconut cream pie and catching up with those who left the earthly world before her.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 3644 Church Lane, Petersburg, PA 16669.
