I moved to State College in 2001 to open our music store here and Pat was one of the first people to welcome me to State College. Everyone at Robert M. Sides enjoyed her regular visits and chats about the students she was so passionate about. From the years of Pat and Wally loading their keyboards and PA system into our recital room to the more recent years where our staff and student parents filled Wally's shoes as best we could in supporting her dedication to the kids. Her post-recital refreshments were legendary and we always appreciated her offering us some after the event. Thank you Pat for your contributions to music education in our community and for the countless students you impacted during your career. We'll miss you! Peter Sides and everyone at Robert M. Sides

I learned to know Pat close to 20 years ago when I became a member of the Central Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association. Pat was beautiful inside and out. She was warm, gracious, incredibly talented, loved to host our meetings and especially our Holiday Extravaganza in which she served scrumptious refreshments, was hard working, and always had a positive demeanor in spite of great loss in her life. I happened to see Pat at the Hallmark Store on Monday, April 15th, and she was her usual glowing, kind self. I was shocked and saddened to learn she was gone the following day. What a full and meaningful life Pat led! She made a difference! My sincere sympathy to her beloved family. Peggy Myers
