Obituary of Romaine Julia Bratton

Romaine Bratton, 87 of Boalsburg died on May 19, 2024. Born August 7, 1936 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Vincent I and Julia Gregg McClenahen. She married Ramon N. Bratton on December 26, 1957 at the Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage.

Romaine is survived by her husband Ramon, son Michael of State College, daughter Janice of Hershey, grandson Blake Bratton of Bellefonte, granddaughter Christine Schafer (Tim) of Bellefonte. Romaine was preceded in death by brothers Richard (Esther), Robert (Phyllis) and Ray (Evelyn).

Romaine was a 1954 graduate of Lewistown high school. Over the years, she worked at the Lewistown Wholesale Grocery, Hajoca, and the Boalsburg Elementary School. However, she was most proud of her family and her role as Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She enjoyed hosting family dinners and was a devoted supporter of her family and all of their activities. She enjoyed and excelled at cooking, baking, sewing and flower arranging. She had been an active member of the Boalsburg Garden Club and she was a member of the State College Alliance Church for over fifty years.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
