Born May 7, 1966, in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Willis and Phyllis (Stanisloff) Orner. On June 22, 1991 he married Beth Ann Elias, who survives.

Gregory was a 1984 graduate of Richland High School who went on to earn his bachelor's in Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown.

He spent over 20 years with Walmart, most recently as an academy facilitator where he taught new associates how to assist customers on the sales floor.

Being outdoors gave him great joy, especially camping and boating. He also enjoyed time spent taking rides on his motorcycle. Gregory was a car enthusiast who especially enjoyed working on his Dad's 1969 Chevy Impala.

He succumbed to cancer after a 3.5 year fight. His family will miss him dearly, along with his beloved dog, Buddy.
