Obituary of Mary McKivison

Jane McKivison, 85, of State College, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at Windsong at Brookline Village, State College. Born February 5, 1927, in Boalsburg, she was a daughter of the late James C. and Eloise Lee Gilliland. She married James F. McKivison on December 28, 1950, who survives. She was a 1945 graduate of State College Area High School. She was employed by Penn State University, College of Science as a Administrative Aide retiring in 1983 after 35 years. She attended the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in State College and was a twelve year volunteer at Mount Nittany Medical Center, serving the medical floor. Jane enjoyed painting, sewing, hunting, fishing, traveling, running, walking and exercising. Jane and Jim were known as "The Walkers" to many. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Edwin Zeiders officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St Paul's United Methodist Church, 109 McAllister St. State College, PA 16801. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
