Obituary of Kathleen Waple

Kathleen T. Waple, 88, of Belleville, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Lewistown Hospital. Born March 19, 1924, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Aileen (Resides) Tressler. On November 27, 1946 she married John H. Waple who preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by one son, Scott Waple, and a cousin, Frank Resides and his family of West Chester. Kathleen was a 1941 graduate of State College Area High School. She attended the Altoona School of Commerce. She was employed by Penn State University as a secretary for 31 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Mt. Nittany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and spending time at the family cottage in Canada. She loved her little dog, Pockets. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Mt. Nittany United Methodist Church, 1500 E. Branch Rd, Lemont Pa with the Rev. Carl Hill officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
