Obituary of John William Brady
John William McKenzie "Mack" Brady age 8 of State College, died on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Hershey Medical Center. Born January 16, 2004 in New Orleans, LA the son of Christian Mark McNamara and Elizabeth Isabel Walma Brady of State College.
In addition to his parents Mack is survived by his sister Isabel Ruth Braybrook "Izzy" Brady, his paternal grandparents Charles Darnell and Martha Ann McNamara Brady of Montgomery, MD, and his maternal grandparents Kenneth Dale and Nancy Tyler Braybrook Walma Sr. of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and his paternal great grandmother Mae Estelle Hugel McNamara of Montgomery, MD, along with eight aunts and uncles and nine cousins.
Mack was a third grade student at the Park Forest Elementary School and a member of the State College Celtics Soccer team and attended Saint Andrews Episcopal Church. His parents shared that, "He was a special treasure, a true blessing sent from God. Mack was passionate about soccer and his dream was to be the starting keeper for the US National team. He had wonderful friends at school, at church, and on his team The SC Celtics. He has the best sister one could imagine. 'May light perpetual shine upon him who puts his trust in the Lord.'"
Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801 on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, Foster Ave. and Fraser Street, State College, on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Larry J. Hofer officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund in memory of Mack Brady is being created at Penn State. If you would like to make a memorial gift, you can send in a check, made payable to Penn State with "In memory of Mack Brady" in the memo to:

It is the family's intention to have the scholarship support a soccer player at Penn State.
